Program Information

Designed especially for busy adult learners, the online University of Wisconsin Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication is a 60-credit degree completion program that provides the skills and knowledge you need to compete for, and succeed in, management-level positions within virtually any organization.

As a student in this program, you will develop the breadth of knowledge and skills that employers seek in leaders and managers: critical thinking, creative thinking, and ethical problem-solving abilities; proficiency in written and oral communication skills; collaborative and leadership skills; skills in using behavioral and quantitative data in decision making; skill in using technology in their professions; an understanding of how diversity relates to their personal and professional lives; and knowledge about their communities.

You will be able to use the skills you learn immediately in your own organization, and upon graduation, you will enjoy expanded career opportunities in any job market, no matter how competitive.

Flexible. Online. Affordable.

We understand that going back to school is a big decision. As a returning adult learner, your needs are very different from those of a traditional undergraduate student. Rest assured, our faculty and staff are here to help you succeed in this journey, both as a degree-holding professional and as a busy adult who must juggle your studies along with work, family, and other responsibilities.

The Organizational Leadership and Communication program is a partnership between UW-Eau Claire and UW-Extension. It features distinguished faculty and online flexibility, along with convenient eight-week sessions that make it an ideal choice for nontraditional adult learners and busy professionals looking to advance in their careers and become leaders in their communities.

Tuition for the 2015/16 academic year is a flat fee of $390 per credit (60 credits total for the bachelor’s degree; 12 credits total for the certificate), whether you live in Wisconsin or out of state, and financial aid is available for students who qualify.

The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication is a degree completion program designed for adult learners who already have some college credits or an associate degree. It is also a potential path for bachelor’s-degree holders who wish to take the next step in their careers.
