We are excited that you are interested in applying to the University of Wisconsin Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication program. Below, please find information about application deadlines, admission requirements, and how to apply.

Application Deadlines

Students interested in applying for a given session are urged to apply no later than one month before courses begin. Please refer to our Course Schedule for course dates. Starting your application early will help ensure you have plenty of time to round up any required materials (such as transcripts), apply for financial aid, and complete the University of Wisconsin System Online Admission Application.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication program requires:

  • An Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from the UW Colleges, comparable Associate of Arts or Associate of Sciences degrees, or credits comparable to those required for the AAS degree. You may be eligible for admission to this program if you have approximately 60 credits of transferable general education coursework with a 2.0 or better grade point average (GPA).
  • Official high school and college transcripts.

Admission to the 12-credit certificate program requires at least 30 credits from an accredited college or university. See our Certificate page for more information.

How to Apply for the Bachelor of Professional Studies Degree

Step 1. Complete the University of Wisconsin System Online Admission Application. On that page, you will find a link to instructions for completing the application, including a list of materials you must submit.

Step 2. Submit your application fee. A nonrefundable $44 application fee is required for most degree-seeking students applying to a UW System institution. That fee is not required if the last institution you attended was a two-year UW Colleges campus. The fee is required if you are transferring between UW System four-year campuses or if you have never attended a UW System campus.

Step 3. Contact your high school and each postsecondary institution you have attended to request that official transcripts be sent directly to UW-Eau Claire. If you earned a GED/HSED, an official copy of the qualifying scores must also be submitted from the testing agency. If you have an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent coursework, or if you are over the age of 22, the ACT or SAT is not required.
